Our sustainability management is governed by an overarching Sustainability Policy.

Policies


The Policy commits all Group business units to compliance with high standards of ethics and business integrity, environmental management and employee and community welfare.

The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the Group Sustainability Policy and the Board has appointed external advisers to support the design and implementation of improvement programmes.

Environment


Our industry faces a wide range of environmental challenges including climate change, the use of hazardous materials and increasing environmental legislation.

The Group Environmental Policy applies to the Company and to all subsidiaries worldwide. It commits the Group to: prevention and control of pollution; minimising environmental impacts; eco-efficiency; and adopting responsible environmental practices.

Social


We are committed to improving our social impact and internal management systems to ensure the wellbeing of our stakeholders.

Our workplace practices are governed by a suite of HR policies and our Business Ethics Policy, which applies to our global operations and commits Spirent to the highest standards in human and labour rights, employee conduct and compliance with all applicable legislation.

Our employees are encouraged to report any concerns either to the management team or through a confidential hotline, as described in our Whistleblowing Policy.

Our policies maintain the highest standards of diversity and equality (as described in our Diversity Policy), health and safety, stakeholder engagement and inclusion.

Supplier Code of Conduct


The purpose of our Supplier Code of Conduct is to establish standards to ensure that working conditions in our supply chain are safe, that workers are treated with respect and dignity, and that business operations are environmentally responsible and conducted ethically.

The Code encourages suppliers to go beyond legal compliance, drawing upon internationally recognised standards, in order to advance social and environmental responsibility and business ethics.

Governance


The Board seeks to build and maintain good governance structures and thereby appropriately manage risk in the business. The Board continues to be committed to high standards of corporate governance and fully supports the principles laid down in the UK Corporate Governance Code.
